NYC noise rock pioneers Sonic Youth unleashed a solid, feedback-driven set on their home turf at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.

Photographer’s Notes

Not gonna lie, this one was a pain to shoot. The photo pit was completely overcrowded with photographers on-assignment, VIPs and fans with point-and-shoots and camera phones. It was difficult to move around and even harder to get a clear shot. The dark overall lighting treatment with dull washes of red and blue lights was a big let down too. This show left a lot to be desired from a photography perspective. Musically speaking, however, Sonic Youth was definitely one of the highlights of the summer.

My exposure remained consistent around 1/200 and f/2.8 at ISO 3200.
